• It's Wednesday! Remember we verify all new item winners via Phone and Agreement. Don't forget to pay for your won auctions!
  1. It didn't take my bid at the last second and I was still trying to bid, help!
BidFight is not responsible for losses due to internet issues which could occur while bidding. It is your responsibility to know when an auction is ending and if you choose to wait till the last second to bid, that is not the fault of BidFight.
  2. How does this site work?
The site is a reverse auction site. It encourages people to bid at the last seconds for the best deals. The way that it works is you place a bid, if the timer runs out and you have the highest bid, you win the item for only the cost of what that final bid is. Each bid costs $1.00 to purchase. You then bid on the item you want, but each bid will only increase the price of the item by a single penny. Every time a new bid is placed, the timer will get extended 30 seconds, and price will increase by 1 cent. You are paying for the right to be able to bid for the price you want. We run reserves on auctions, and you may bid as much as you are comfortable on these items, but it takes more then 1 person to BidFight.
  3. How many accounts may be had per household?
Limit 2 account per household. 1 account per person.
  4. How long will it take for an item to arrive after placing the order?
General shipment time varies; it depends on demand of the product and availability from vendor. Your item will never be shipped past 31 days of the day it was paid for.
  5. What do we get for referring our friends?
For every person you refer who ends up purchasing at least 10 bids, you will be credited with 2 free bids.
  6. How do I add my address? And how do I add it to an an item?
After you have logged in click on User Control Panel. Then click on addresses Enter a title for your reference (Home, Work, Etc) And then Save your address. after you have added an address if you have won an item you can go to the UCP click on Set Address for the auction you have won (EG Work, Home ETC) after this has been done you can pay for your item. After this you can simply go back to your user control panel and pay for your item.
  7. How do I change my Password?
In the User Control Panel, click on settings. You may change your password there. Please be aware, this is irreversible.
  8. I won and paid for my auction how long does it take to arrive?
That depends on the type of item, if its in stock at our vendor, and when we order it. Please be aware that we have up to 31 days from the time of winning and your purchase being placed to order/ship your item. most items will be received within this 3 week period of time. Larger items however may require freight shipping, if this is the case you will be notified. Bid Packs normally ship within 24 business hours of being won and paid for.
  9. How can I purchase bids?
After you have registered and logged in, you can purchase bids by going to your User Control Panel and selecting the Bid Option. From there you will be able to purchase bids using a variety of methods. You can also see your bid history there, for a record of when you bid and on which item the bid was placed. Please note the bid purchases are non-refundable.
  10. It has been longer then 31 days since I paid for an auction and it still hasn't arrived please help?

If for some reason your credit doesn't go through, please contact our customer support, or chat support team and we will look into your inquiry to make sure you receive proper credit for any bid pack purchased.
  12. Does BidFight ship internationally?
Yes we do, however if you do not have a you will be required to pay FULL SHIPPING COSTS. You will be contacted by email after you have won on how to do this. If you have won an auction internationally and paid for it but don't respond to our e-mails your item will be re-listed.
  13. What is a Referral system and how do I use it?
If you look in your user control panel you will notice a referral link. For each person whom you refer that signs up and buys a bid pack your account will be credited with 2 (two) Bids. You can use the images in your user control panel as banners.
  14. What is a reserve?
Reserves are generally placed on items that are either high value (I.E Over $100), or on specific items that may only have a few bidders. There will always be Reserve Auctions listed, and live auctions (No Reserve) each business day. Reserve auctions are currently no longer being listed, and reserve auctions that were listed are having their reserves removed starting the week of 12/14/2009
  15. What does the on auctions mean and how does your reserve system work?
Our reserve system is very simple: The glove displayed on the auction will vanish once the reserve has been met meaning that anyone who bids can win that item. Conversely when a timer ticks to 0 and reserve has not been met, the auction will then be extended by 25 minutes until reserve has been met, that way every item listed will eventually goto a real person. To try to be fair to people bidding reserve will fall off within 5 bids of the actual reserve being met that way we do not encourage reserve hoppers. Auctions not featuring the symbol have no reserve. Reserve auctions are currently no longer being listed, and reserve auctions that were listed are having their reserves removed starting the week of 12/14/2009
  16. How much of a reserve is put on items?
It varies, reserves range from .3%-1% of the item value depending on the item. We don't have a set reserve that we will always use, and it totally depends what the reserve is set for at that particular time for the item. Reserves will NEVER be higher then 1% of actual value. Reserve auctions are currently no longer being listed, and reserve auctions that were listed are having their reserves removed starting the week of 12/14/2009
  17. What does Pending Win mean?
After an auction is over, one of our admins will look over it to make sure everything 100% OK with the auction in case of a win, or if the reserve was not met. We will change this status to Approved Win as soon as we have verified that the auction was not a reserve auction, and that the bidders with the auction have not committed any fraud. This is usually done within 2 - 24 hours depending on traffic based on when the auction ends.
  18. How long do I have to pay for my win?
You have 3 Business days to pay for you win, after 3 days if you have not paid your auction may be re-listed and re-sold.
  19. Does BidFight use bots?
BidFight has never, nor will ever use bots. We only have real people bidding against real people. If you win an item it was won versus another real person sitting at a computer bidding to win it.
  20. I have had a problem with the site and something isn't showing up correctly
If you are having a problem please use the contact us in order to get in touch with us. We will attempt to fix your problem ASAP.
  21. What are Elite Auctions?
Elite auctions are for those who have won their normal win limit per week. Anyone is open to bid on these auctions however if you have hit your 3 win limit per week you may only bid on elite auctions.
  22. How does the 8 total win per week system work?
It is a rolling system. Say for instance you win on Monday - that counts as negative 1 towards your 8 hard win limit for the week. That auction will not come off until the exact time it was won the following week. You can win only 3 items each week before you become elite. You can keep track of how many wins you may have at any given time under User Control Panel -> Auctions
  23. I was bidding on an item that didn't have the reserve met a few times and it vanished and my bids were refunded, what happened?
If there is not enough interest in an item we will take it down within a month and refund all bids on it. To be a BidFight more then 1 person has to be interested in the item.
  24. What does on an auction mean?
Like in real fight, while BidFighting Jump Ins can occur. If an auction displays the on it this means No Jump Ins. This is set so that if you have not bid on an auction to a minimum of 10% the value of the reserve before the reserve is met, you will not be able to bid on the auction after the reserve is off, meaning you cannot jump into a Bid Fight. If you are bidding against 5 other people the whole time on a NJ auction with a reserve, and the reserve ends, only those 5 people will still be allowed to bid on the item.

An example of this would be if a $100 had a full 1% reserve minimum bids to be included in the NJ lockout would be 10% so 10 bids.
  25. What does Down and Out Auction mean?
Down and Out is a new auction type exclusive to BidFight that works in a similar way that Elite auctions do.

When you participate in a down and out auction there will always be More then one winner. Say for instance the Final Bid Price is $2.00 and your bid was $1.99 one penny off from the Final Bid Price. You come in second place. This is where the Down and Out auction takes effect.

On any Down And Out auction, the second place winner becomes a winner to. After auction closing and admin approval, the second place winner will receive a DnO offer in their User Control Panel. This offer will be for you to either A. Get 1/3 of your bids back that were placed on the DnO auction (Down and Out). Or B. Pay real money minus the number of bids that you have placed to purchase the item anyway. C. If you over bid the price you will still have both options, however you will receive a penalty if you decide to order the item of 10% of the items retail value.

To show exactly how this works to users here is an example:

Johnny and Susie are bidding on a $100 item. Johnny has in 55 bids, Susie has in 70, Susie ends up winning the $100 item at $1.25. After the auction is over and approved, Johnny will get a second chance offer in his UCP (User Control Panel) to either be refunded 1/3 of his bids, or offer up an additional amount to receive the $100 item anyway.
  26. How long will you leave an auction up before delisting it?
Auctions are left up until the we decide the item is not going to go before being de-listed for in-activity. If an auction is de-listed in this manner, it will not be featured on the site for up to 3 months.
  27. What is fight assistant and the symbol mean?
Fight assistant is for items of higher value so people whom are bidding may use a maximum of 250 bids while they step away from their computer for a moment. Fight Assistant is limited to fight assistant auctions, and 250 bids per person per auction Fight Assistant is listed on.
  28. What happened to chat?
Due to abuse chat has been taken offline for the time being. If you require support please use the contact us form.
  29. Do my bids expire?
Yes, If your account is inactive for more then 45 days your bids will automatically expire. Inactive means that you haven't placed a bid during this 45 day window period. This rule retroactively goes into effect on August 1st 2009. On Sept 15th any account with more then 45 days of inactivity will have their bids removed.
  30. When are no reserve auctions ran?
No reserve auctions are ran Monday-Friday starting at up to 4pm till Midnight. These auctions feature no reserve and go to the last bidder whom places a bid on that auction.
WARNING THE SERVER WILL BACKUP EVERY NIGHT AT MIDNIGHT CST, IF AN AUCTION WAS GOING ON A BIDFIGHT DURING THIS TIME, IT WILL BE RE-UP ASAP.
